Archaeologist for the day!
Today, we had a special visitor who brought Anglo-Saxon artefacts in for Year 5 to explore. We discussed theories and ideas for how/why objects were used. Then, we found out their true use from the past.
Norwich Castle
Year 4 have adventured to Norwich Castle to meet the Romans and Iceni's. Here they heard stories about the Romans and had to act as jury to decide who the Romans really were…. Bad or Good?
Elizabethan House
Year 1 took a trip to the Elizabethan House as part of their topic- the history of toys. They learnt about how to make a doll peg, how toys worked a long time ago, before batteries. We had lots of fun learning a lot about how toys have changed over time and even had a go at playing some old games!
