Gymnastics: Rolling - 05-02-24

This week in Gymnastics we have been learning how to roll. We've practised a dish roll, pencil roll, egg roll and teddy bear roll. The children have been fantastic and have even managed to sequence together a balance with a roll. They enjoyed performing their 2 part sequences to their friends.

Spring 1 - Gymnastics and Dance

This term in PE we are going to be doing a combination of Gymnastics and Dance.

Today in PE, we recapped our gymnastics skills by playing a game. The game involved us moving over / under / around a partner in various ways. This required balance, focus and good co-ordination skills. Our partner was either in a bridge pose, laying flat or sitting with their feet in front of them. The other partner had to either crawl under, bear crawl over or jump over them. They all did so well!

Gymnastics - 20-11-23

This half term in PE we have been doing Gymnastics. This has required us to really develop our balance and co-ordination. Today, we took part in a really fun gymnastic circuit. In the circuit we had to carefully walk up and down benches, move our bodies in different ways across benches, balance and climb. We had so much fun.

Moving our bodies - 06-10-2023

Today in PE we found lots of different ways of moving our bodies!

Autumn 1

Our PE days this half term will be on a Monday and Friday.

This half term will be an introduction to PE including learning how to get changed into our PE kits, naming and using various pieces of equipment and playing simple games.
