Geography

At Blofield Primary School, our enquiry-based Geography curriculum aims to inspire pupils through a variety of experiences so they can learn and acquire knowledge, skills and understanding of the diverse world in which they live. We intend to deepen geographical knowledge and understanding, to equip pupils with skills that allow independent exploration. Through our teaching, fieldwork and educational visits, we seek to provoke questions and a sense of fascination about the world and the people within it. Underpinning our curriculum are our Blofield values (Fairness, Respect, Challenge, Perseverance and Thoughtfulness). With these in mind, when our learners leave our school, they will be true Geographers; using geographical vocabulary to explain and enquire; understanding their place in the community, understanding how to take care of the environment and appreciating the wonderful world they live in, as a citizen of Great Britain.
