MFL: Year 5 French

Salut et Bonne Année! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are ready for the new year!

This is the coverage for this half term:

Spring Term 1 - To extend knowledge of French numbers to 200, shopping and prices.

Pupils will:

  • Understand how French numbers are formed from 70-100
  • Be able to see patterns to extend numbers from 100 and beyond.
  • Apply numbers to say prices in French
  • Learn and practise a simple dialogue to go shopping for items.

Monster Poetry

We've been reading poems about monsters and getting ready to write our own.  We drew a picture first and we've done lots of writing practice.  Before we start writing the poems, we made living statues of our monsters and then acted out how they moved.
