Well done Blofield Sportshall Athletes. We took 80 children to take part in the Norwich East schools competition for sportshall athletics at the UEA on Tuesday 20th November. The children all performed brilliantly with some amazing efforts to record the fastest time, biggest jump or longest throw in all of the events. We had four teams at the two competitions with two of the teams coming in in first place and going through to the county finals to represent Norwich East at the School Sports Games. Great work guys
Sportshall Athletics by Sports Journalist Oscar Hunter
We came to the UEA to do a sportshall athletics competition on a coach and did a warm up. There were leaders from Thorpe high school and Sprowston too. There was a man who said we can make as much noise as we wanted. There was different activities like chest pass, standing long jump and speed bounce. If a race was happening and you wanted to cross you had to wait until it was finished. There was lots of relays going on girls ones and boy ones. Everyone was having fun at the UEA. There was a relay called over and under where you had to go as fast as you could through a tunnel. The races were all really exciting. There was a javelin throw for girls and boys they had 3 javelins each after that we went back to school. We did really well in the competition and one of our teams won.
Super stuff from our girls football teams at Goals. The year 5/6 team finished 4th, the year 3/4 team finished 2nd and will now go through to the county finals.
